Panglao.ph is an independent editorial and local-knowledge platform. We organise coverage around the choices visitors actually face: where to base themselves, how to move around, what a place is like and what should be checked again before travelling.
We aim for clear reporting rather than exhaustive lists. A shorter guide with a strong evidence trail is more useful than a long page built from repeated or unverified claims.
What we publish—and what we hold back
A page is published only when its core claims have suitable sources, its images have a documented use basis and any high-risk practical information has passed the relevant review. Drafts that still require fieldwork, local terminology review or specialist confirmation remain unpublished.
- First-hand observations are identified as first-hand only when the reporting record supports that description.
- Recommendations must explain the basis for inclusion and separate fact from editorial judgement.
- Volatile details such as prices, schedules, access and operating status are dated and rechecked.
- When reliable sources disagree, we describe the uncertainty rather than selecting the most convenient answer.
Independence and corrections
Editorial decisions are made for reader usefulness. Commercial relationships, gifted experiences or other material connections must be disclosed where they could affect how a recommendation is understood.
We correct material errors transparently and update time-sensitive guidance when the evidence changes. A formal public corrections channel will be added before the first reported destination guide is released.
