The Bohol tourism office names Alona, Dumaluan, Doljo and Libaong among Panglao’s beaches. The difference that matters to a traveller is the shape of the day around each one: how you reach it, what you can do nearby and whether you want the hotel to be the destination.

Alona: the easy all-rounder

Alona has the strongest case for someone who wants beach, food and boat enquiries in one area. The province’s 2024 Alona waterfront resolution places the named shore in Tawala and describes it as a major tourism area. Henann Resort Alona Beach confirms a substantial resort presence directly on the beachfront.

Dumaluan and Bolod: beach-first hotels

Bolod is the address to investigate for a stay centred on the shore. Bohol Beach Club and Oceanica Resort Panglao place their properties there, alongside Dumaluan Beach Resort. These names identify real options, not a promise that every section of coast has the same access rules.

Ask the particular property or beach entrance about day access, included facilities and the path to the water for your dates. If you are sleeping elsewhere, a day trip still needs an exact entrance and return plan.

Doljo: room to slow down

Doljo is a better match for a resort-led pace than for a visitor who wants Alona’s restaurant choice on foot. The Bellevue Resort Bohol identifies its address in Doljo and offers room types from standard rooms to suites.

Look at the hotel and shore together: what happens at low tide, where guests enter the water, and how you will get to dinner if you leave the property. A sunset view can be lovely without deciding the whole booking for you.

Libaong and Momo: widen the search

The provincial tourism office also names Libaong on Panglao’s coast. If the Alona/Bolod choice feels too narrow, it is worth comparing a specific Libaong address. Momo Beach is another named option; check its exact access and accommodation against the day you intend to spend there.

Do not let a beach name stand in for a pin. Shoreline conditions, entry arrangements and nearby services can change over a short distance. Match the specific entrance with the current weather and tide.

Make the final choice

For a short first stay: Alona’s convenience is hard to ignore. For days built around the hotel and sand: start with Bolod. For a slower resort stay: compare Doljo. For a quieter independent base: inspect the exact Libaong or Momo property rather than assuming the whole coast behaves alike.
