Bohol–Panglao Airport: Arrival and Transfers

The airport’s name makes a Bohol arrival sound complete. It is complete only when you know where you are sleeping. A booking that says Panglao could place you near Alona, along Bolod’s beach or on the other side of the municipality.

TIEZA’s airport desk listing gives the terminal’s address as Tawala, Panglao. Operations transferred to Aboitiz InfraCapital Bohol Airport Corp in June 2025, as the provincial government records.

Airport, island and port

The airport is on Panglao Island, while Tagbilaran Port serves the Cebu ferry arrival. They are not alternative names for the same terminal. If your booking starts in Cebu, confirm whether the first ticket is a flight to Bohol–Panglao or a ferry to Tagbilaran.

Save the hotel name, full address, barangay, entrance and pin as one offline note. If the accommodation uses a beach name in marketing, use the actual address for the driver. The barangay guide helps decode it.

Choose a transfer you can finish

A property-arranged pickup is the simplest option when the arrival is late, the group has several bags or the hotel is away from Alona. Confirm the vehicle, complete price, waiting rule, exact meeting sign or point, and who answers if the flight is delayed. Henann’s booking information is one example of a resort publishing its own airport pickup instructions; it does not set a rule for other properties.

The Bohol tourism office lists local tricycles and bao-bao, buses, vans and app-based rides as transport categories. Those categories do not promise a vehicle at the airport at your arrival time. Check a current app offer or an accountable counter/driver, and confirm the fare before moving.

Ask what the fare covers

A useful quote names the destination entrance, number of passengers, luggage, waiting time, payment method and any night or additional-stop charge. “To Panglao” is too broad a destination for a meaningful comparison.

No universal airport-to-Alona or airport-to-Tagbilaran fare is published here. The provincial tourism office’s practical advice is to agree on the fare before the ride. Ask the accommodation for its current quote too; two offers can only be compared if they end at the same door.

When the flight is late

Send the flight number and expected arrival to the pickup owner, then agree on a specific delay rule. Will the driver watch the flight, wait a stated period or need a new message? Also confirm the hotel’s late check-in procedure. A car that arrives without an open property door has not completed the transfer.

The five-minute departure check

Before leaving for Bohol, check the airline’s flight status, the property’s full address, pickup instructions, payment method and the name of the person who will answer on arrival. After landing, use the agreed pickup point rather than following an unsolicited change of plan.
